You have to name a person, not file a form
Once your site is subject to emergency planning, you must name a facility emergency coordinator and tell the local committee who it is.
What you owe, and by when
Name your facility emergency coordinator — within 60 days, to the LEPC.
The rule: 40 CFR 355.20(b)
Example: started 2026-04-14, due 2026-06-13.
Free. No account, no email.
Who it goes to
- Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC)
Some states change this list or add a filing of their own — we write down what each one told us.
What this usually looks like
The duty most small sites have never heard of. There is no form to download and nothing to upload — it is a named human being with a phone number, and the committee needs to know who that is.
If you have already missed it
Your site can be fully compliant on paper and still be missing this, because it is not part of the annual inventory at all.
How we help with this one
The checker is free and needs no account: tell it what you keep on site and it works out which of these clocks are running for you, with the rule behind each one. Paying is what turns them into a watched list — we hold the dates and tell you once, before each is due.
