Check whether you have to file
Four questions about your site, and you get a yes or no for every chemical you keep, the rule behind each number, and the date that applies where you are. The answer is free.
Before you start
- About 10 minutes to find out whether you have to file. Building the actual file takes longer, because the form asks for more.
- Have these nearby: a safety data sheet for anything you are unsure about, roughly the most of each chemical you had on site last year, and the name and title of whoever will sign.
- Finish in one sitting. We keep nothing you type, so if you close this tab you start again. That is the trade for not asking you to make an account.
Free. No account, no email.
What you get back
- A yes or no for each chemical you keep — with the federal or state rule printed next to every number, so you can check us.
- The date that applies where you are — and the other deadlines the same list starts, which are not all 1 March.
- If you do have to file: the filing itself — the Tier II file your state takes, or a worksheet with every field written out for the states that make you type it in.
The answer costs nothing. You pay only for the last one — and plenty of facilities find they are under every threshold and owe nothing at all.
